“Every brick will be put down with love.”
The Kaufman Cancer Center at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) will provide a warm, welcoming, and dedicated space for treating the whole patient, not just their disease.
As the new home of Cancer LifeNet at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health and its nurse navigator and supportive services programs, a major focus of Hope and Healing Close to Home’s fundraising efforts will be to endow the free-of-charge services that are provided to the community. Currently available to every patient with a cancer diagnosis in Harford County, Cancer LifeNet will remain a free-of-charge program that is fully funded through philanthropy.
By making a gift to Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, you are supporting University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health’s (UM UCH) mission to provide unparalleled healthcare to our community- today, tomorrow, and into the future. Your philanthropic support will enable our non-profit hospitals of University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital (UM HMH) and University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) Center to provide clinical care to those who are underinsured or uninsured, enhance our service lines, and alleviate growing constraints that are place on healthcare providers each and every day.
In addition, should you choose to support one of our supportive programs, including Cancer LifeNet and The Senator Bob Hooper House, you will be giving our nurses and social workers the ability to provide holistic healthcare for you, your family, and our neighbors at a time when personalized care is greatly needed.
