After careful thought and under the abundance of caution of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Starnight Gala, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2020, will now be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021. The safety and health of our supporters, guests, patients—and you—is of utmost importance.
Even though our original plans have changed, the need for support from our community remains. As you may know, approximately 850 guests come to the Starnight Gala to raise over $1 million to support Cancer LifeNet at the Patricia D. and M. Scot Kaufman Cancer Center. Cancer LifeNet relies on monies raised from the Starnight Gala to provide free-of-charge, supportive care services offered to all residents of Harford and Cecil counties, regardless of where they receive their cancer treatment. The program is funded fully through philanthropy and is designed to help patients and their loved ones find the resources needed to balance work, family, and cancer treatment. Our event theme is “One Team, One Dream.” We can attest this is not only the theme for the upcoming Starnight Gala, but universally as a health system.
