Vice President and Executive Director
As Vice President and Executive Director of the Foundation, Ken is responsible for the operations of the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation including oversight of all fundraising campaigns and long range planning.
Prior to joining the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, Ken served as the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement at Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem, PA and the Director of Individual Capital Giving and Annual Giving at Loyola College in Baltimore.
Ken is a graduate of Loyola College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as a Masters of Business Administration that included a period of international field study in Beijing and Shanghai, China. He is a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and has served on the Loyola University Maryland Regional Alumni Board, and the Harford County Community Foundation.
Director of Advancement
As UM UCH’s Director of Advancement, in coordination with the Vice President and Executive Director of the Foundation, Sarah is responsible for managing and developing long range and short-term planning and support for the areas of stewardship, prospect management, data analysis, donor recognition and donor relations.
Prior to joining UM UCH, Sarah served as the Director of Development and Field Office Manager for the Arthritis Foundation and as an Account Executive with Stanton Communications, Inc.
Sarah is a graduate of Towson University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. She has also completed Fund Development certification courses at Goucher College and is a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.
Donna Tower Lenzner, CFRE
Manager, Community Engagement and Special Events
As Manager of Community Engagement and Special Events, Donna serves as a liason for UM UCH to volunteers, donors, community partners and patients, supporting their shared interest in unparalleled healthcare by gifts made to The Foundation. Alongside leadership volunteers, Donna plans and manages special events for The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, including the Chesapeake Challenge Golf and Tennis Tournament, Starnight Gala, and the Upper Chesapeake Hospice Regatta.
Donna has worked for The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation since 2005. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Harford Business Roundtable, and the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, where she is a member of the Education Liaison Committee. She also co-chairs the Harford County Celebration of Philanthropy Committee. Donna earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland at College Park, and received her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation in 1987 and again in 2011.
In the role of Development Associate, Jennifer is responsible for identification and solicitation of individual and corporate donors, volunteer engagement, community outreach, and event management in support of The Foundation’s fundraising mission. Jennifer works closely with key volunteers of the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance in their ongoing commitment to raise funds to support Cancer LifeNet at the Kaufman Cancer Center.
Jennifer graduated from Lynchburg College, Virginia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Promotions. A member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Epsilon Kappa Academic Fraternities, Jennifer completed an internship at the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center. A Bel Air native and former athletic scholar of Bel Air High School, Jennifer proudly led the 2014 Lynchburg Women’s Soccer Team to a National Championship, serving as team captain her senior year.
As Philanthropy Officers for The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, Crystal Clark and Christina Saneman work to cultivate relationships with patients, families, physicians and health care providers, to fulfill the vital community health care mission of UM Upper Chesapeake Health.
From advancements including the funding of innovative health care programs and services, the expansion and improvement of equipment and technology, and the commitment to support neighbors in need through the funding of charity care, Crystal and Christina offer benefactors the opportunity to make meaningful gifts that ensure a healthier community.
Prior to joining The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, Christina Saneman served as Account Executive and Director of Business Development for Element Fleet in Sparks, MD. She is a graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Management.
Crystal Clark served as Development Coordinator for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America Maryland/Southern Delaware Chapter. Crystal earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Lock Haven University with a minor in Psychology.
Advancement Services Officer
As The Foundation’s Advancement Services Officer, Lauren is responsible for supporting front-line fundraisers, database management, advancement reporting, prospect research, and project management. Prior to joining UM Upper Chesapeake Health, Lauren served as Advancement Associate for The John Carroll School.
Lauren is a graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. Lauren was also inducted into Delta Mu Delta, The Epsilon Rho Chapter of the National Honor Society in Business Administration at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Shantae Mann has been employed with University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health for more than 8 years. As The Foundation’s Database Coordinator since 2013, Shantae manages the fundraising database and provides administrative support to team. Prior to joining The Foundation, Shantae worked for UM UCH’s Patient Access Department as a Registration Coordinator Team Lead. Shantae is currently pursuing her degree in Social Work at Salisbury University. She recently completed an internship with UM UCH’s Clinical Resource Management department.
As Executive Assistant of the UCH Foundation, Janet assists with planning and implementation of fundraising activities. Janet serves as the recording secretary for the UCH Foundation Board, Foundation Executive Committee and other Board Committees as requested. Janet appropriately handles communication with UCH Foundation Board members, volunteers, donors and prospects, and serves as the primary point of contact for all external and internal inquiries regarding the Foundation, its fundraising activities and volunteer engagements.
Janet has been a team member at UM Upper Chesapeake Health since 1979. Prior to joining the Foundation Team in 2015, she served as the Executive Assistant to the President/CEO for 16 years.
